Description:

YOU EITHER CLIMB YOUR WAY OUT OF THE HOOD OR YOU GET TRAPPED IN THE HOOD Growing up in the project of Chicago isn?t so hood as the world wants to make it out to be. The hood is full of betrayal, lies, abuse, murder, drugs and sex. I struggle day to day from the unnecessary pain of what I been through in this book. That life ain?t funny when you get older, have children of your own and become afraid of the very same streets you once lived on and ran.. The only way I was able to escape the pain of what I went through is, by writing this book.. My life was designed for me to fail from the start. I got so tired of beatings from my father and mental abuse from my mother so, I ran to the streets for love at the age of fifteen and my parents didn?t come after me either. Girl, you ain?t gonna make it, so they said is a mixture of every urban book you have ever read. However, the twist is, this girl wasn?t interested in the hood activities ?She just wanted to make something of herself without the abuse at home.? (Starting from a fifteen year old high school dropout with no help but the streets?). We all know that you ain?t getting nothing out of them streets unless you are giving up something in those streets. I have fallen in the hands of so many wrongful people that I became accustomed to anything. As a professional woman now with a career of my own, yes, I did make it by the grace of God. (I decided to share my story to encourage the youth who maybe going through something similar to my story). I wanted to make sure the people who has been through what I been through in this book know that ( Girl, you ain?t gonna make, so they said is for you too). We made it! Praise God? All sales of this book go to Autism research.
