Dagmarette Yen
Biography
Dagmarette Yen was raised by her hard-working Chinese father and her talented Danish mother in the beautiful artist colony of Laguna Beach, California. Both parents brought a well-established cultural tradition to the family and encouraged Dagmarette to both respect and continue these traditions. Dagmarette spent her childhood atop the kitchen counter, carefully and methodically learning the same cooking skills that her mother had learned from her grandmother. Dagmarette traveled to Denmark for Christmas many times, and enjoyed celebrating the holidays in traditional style with her relatives. Viewing the customs first hand taught Dagmarette the value of tradition, and how a memorable meal can bring a family together. In Dagmaretteamp;#039;s first cookbook, she has chosen the share the rituals that have warmed the hearts of her family for generations.
