Enid earned her Master's Degree in Social Work fromPortland State University. She is a Certified Thanatologistand Compassion Fatigue Specialist. She is the author offive published books about the grieving process whichspan both human and animal loss.In October of 1986, Enid founded the DoveLewis Pet LossSupport Program. This program is the third oldest, andlongest lasting Pet Loss Support Group in America. Inaddition to facilitating the support groups four timeseach month, she provides the instruction and materialsfor the Memorial Art Workshops for the public on thesecond Sunday of each month, and for the DoveLewisstaff one week each month. DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital is a private nonamp;#8211;profit facility serving animals 24 hours a day 365 days a year. DoveLewisamp;#8217; dual commitments are to provide the best in emergency and critical care for animals, and to provide community programs that promote the humanamp;#8211;animal bond.
