Co-owner with husband George "Buddy" Tanner of Frogmore Plantation, an 1800 acre working cotton plantation with modern computerized cotton gin. My husband Buddy and I have been actively involved in the cotton business all of our adult lives, both here with our own plantation, but also nation wide with state and national producer, ginner, and warehouse associations. We both have a deep love for the preservation of plantation life. In the course of our businesses, we have researched extensively southern plantation history and African American culture in the Deep South. In addition to building two new cotton gins, we have restored one antebellum home, one 1880's Victorian home, an 1884 steam cotton gin, a plantation store, and 18 other antebellum dependency buildings some of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Properties.
