A Journey Back Home

In 1977, I had my diploma in General Registered Nursing, in 1980 my diploma in Registered Midwifery and my Advance Nursing from University of Nairobi in 1988. Most of my nursing carrier was spent working in Kenya, till I immigrated to the United Kingdom in search of "greener pastures". In 1977, I had my diploma in General Registered Nursing, in 1980 my diploma in Registered Midwifery and my Advance Nursing from University of Nairobi in 1988. Most of my nursing carrier was spent working in Kenya, till I immigrated to the United Kingdom in search of "greener pastures". I've often wondered whether my tendency to travel back to my childhood memories was regression or denial to accept change. In all honesty I do believe there is a "child" in all of us who keeps popping up now and again seeking to be "mothered" and sheltered. When hurting and calling out to God, I often found myself interchangeably calling out to my mother, who was long gone. My hope is that as I walk through the pages of my life, you too will remember the moments you cherished in your own lives.
