Paying homage to old school roleplaying games, Chronicles of Cathura takes place in a fantasy medieval setting complete with iron clad warriors, dragons, and magic. This all-in-one core rulebook for a d6 based tabletop roleplaying game system is all that is needed to begin play. Includes character creation, equipment, mystic items, combat, beastiary and information for GMs.
Here are some highlights of this system:
* Simplistic Gameplay: Using only a d6 die type, this system is easy to pick up for newcomers or veterans of tabletop gaming. Character creation is a smooth process with complete walkthrough and plenty of customization for each player to harness.
* Fully Customizable: Each character in Cathura is fully customizable by race, class, set of perks, equipment, etc. You can fully build and play any type of character you want from a sword wielding mage to a trap setting warrior, the choice is yours. The customization doesn't end with the players, the GM has plenty of tools at their disposal to customize their own Cathura adventures without the complication. With over one-hundred examples of characters and creatures the GM has plenty to work with.
* Perk System: With the customizable Perk system you can build your character to take on any adventure. With a variety of racial, class and general perks no two classes have to be built the same way. Let your imagination run wild as you build a character with YOUR specifications.
* Streamlined Combat: Combat has been streamlined to provide strategic maneuvers with quick resolution. No matter the type of character you play, players can participate in combat without bogging down gameplay. Our streamlined combat puts roleplaying back in tabletop roleplaying.
*Stackable System: The entire system was built from the ground up to stack upon itself. Using stacking you can literally pour on bonuses upon yourself or allies and even penalties upon the enemy. With the strategic use of combat maneuvers, customizable perks and the stacking system, combat becomes a creative environment for the players and GM alike.
* Creatures and Characters: These creatures and characters are founded on the same system as the players are, functioning with minor modifications. There is no complicated rule set that is needed to learn in order to build your own characters or creatures.
