More DescriptionChristian Hunt, the suave and sexy real estate mogul, has been released on probation, under the stipulation he attend eight months of anger management therapy. Jessica Gold is the psychiatrist he has sought out for his sessions, although he has made it clear that he has no interest in discussing the issues that brought him to her office. The sizzling attraction that develops between these two broken petals soon blossoms into a dark and obsessive love that will not allow anything or anyone to stand in its way, and things take a deadly turn after that love is unexpectedly threatened. "More wine?" he asked, switching off the stove and offering her a lopsided smile as he walked around the counter, armed with the bottle. "No, thank you. I think two is my limit." But a smile curved her lips as he ignored her yet again, and she shook her head in amusement as he refilled her glass, yet again, before he emptied the remainder into his own glass. "Do you have another for dinner?" he inquired with a quiet chuckle as he deposited the empty bottle on the counter and spun her stool around until she was facing him. "No," she mumbled, unable to catch her breath with him standing so close to her. "But there's a bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge." "Good," he whispered, smiling as he leaned in even closer and touched his glass against hers. "And, if you want, I can call my butler and ask him to bring over another bottle or two for us, for after dinner." "After dinner? Another bottle?" she sputtered, choking on the air in her lungs as her startled gaze landed upon his face, dark and stormy with a naked desire as he peered at her from hooded emerald eyes. "I told you, I'm not going anywhere." He was forcing her legs apart, moving to stand between her thighs, and the quiet passion which had been simmering beneath the surface erupted into full blaze within her. Jessica had no idea if it was because of the wine or his closeness, but the room was once again swirling in circles around her, and she made a frantic grab for the edge of the counter as she tried to steady the kitchen, and her mind. She wanted him to kiss her, longed to feel his lips on hers. It was what she had been dreaming of since the first day he had strolled into her office. It was what she had known would happen if she took him home with her that evening. But he didn't move, didn't make any attempt to kiss her. A wildfire was blazing in the depths of his eyes, but still he remained motionless, his desire betrayed only by the harsh sounds of his breathing as the air tore past his lips in ragged bursts. "Christian ..." "Do you have any idea what you do to me?" His voice was barely a whisper as he snatched her by the wrist, drawing her hand down to the front of his pants and covering it with his own as he pressed himself into her opened palm, and she was helpless to stifle her soft moan at the agonizing temptation of his weight in her hand, thick and hard and heavy even through his pants and the underwear beneath. "Christian, this is wrong. I shouldn't be here with you like this," she rasped with a shake of her head, a final, feeble attempt at resisting the insane lust he was awakening within her. "Squeeze it." Her hand closed around him in silent obedience and she squeezed the solid mass under her palm, a hard shudder rippling through her as it leapt in response to her touch, a harsh movement that ripped a growl from his throat. But again he said nothing, and made no move to touch her, holding her captive with his stare. Her hand was moving on him, caressing the rigid organ with a slow and steady pressure, and she knew that he wanted to kiss her. And more. She knew that he would take her right there if she let him, would stake his claim to her very soul as he took possession of her body. "Christian ..." "I want you, Jessie. And I'm not going to stop until you're mine. I don't care if it takes the rest of your life for you to say 'Yes'."
