This gate had sealed the entrance to the Grand Library of Crossroad Isle and after they had solved the riddle how to open it, they entered a world whose threshold had not been crossed by any being for the last four thousand five hundred years or even longer. Here, they found not only the queerest device in any world with astonishing features that let Rasmus make the experience of being a bat, but also the last information needed to complete their long and complicated quest. Fullangr learned painfully how to live without the pride of every decent dwarf whilst Torgos, who was sneaked in with the help of Tokolosh, found something that he absolutely had not looked for whilst the second entity that had invaded his mind met its destiny that nearly cost Y Ddraig Goch's life. Some more adventures had to be conquered ere they were able to leave the library and singing to stay alive was one but not the only test they had to master. However, eventually, even this adventure came to an end, though not for everyone who had entered the library. Now that the last hurdles had been taken, they followed the instructions they had received and unravelled the mystery of Menomenta, which was much unexpected but by all means not the end of the adventure, because with the act of opening the crossroads, as it had been foretold, only a new chapter opened up that began with the discovery of Menomenta's true purpose and the surprising fact that some humanlike beings appeared who were small but had large and hairy feet.
