It is a book of 29 stories that make up a single story-the story of my life since my wedding day in January of 1989. That day was the day when I had my innocence snatched away from me. I went from feeling there was no evil in the world, to living with evil on a day-to-day basis. I had no idea that the man I was about to marry would change to a completely different man once we left the wedding. My husband was extremely abusive to me; but those words don't really do justice to the nightmare that I lived. He was a satan-worshipper, a drug addict, and an alcoholic; and I was the victim of sex-trafficking, severe, unnatural, and unheard of physical abuse, identity theft, and true spiritual warfare. I believe my book, "Crying in the Rain" will open the minds of the world to a shocking reality that exists as close as next door. Americans feel most comfortable with the belief that situations such as mine only exist in countries very far away; but it is everywhere. For my neighbors, in my average apartment complex, it happened to the woman next door; and for my family, it happened to their daughter, sister, niece, and cousin. Today, I still deal with the consequences of my escape; however, I beat the odds by surviving the un-survivable and forgiving the unforgivable; and today, twenty years after my marriage, I can say that I have had a complete renewal of the mind by the grace and peace of Christ. It is evident in my story, that God deserves all the glory for my safety and the renewal of my mind. I hope my story brings enlightenment to you whether you are a man or a woman; and if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I hope you will accept Him after reading my story.
