More DescriptionIntroduction to Currure Spatium:To our friends the aliens! Do not despair! The humans are here! It's the year 2412. Thundering towards planet Earth, having travelled for almost two hundred years, a both unknown and known object is fast approaching. It's Al Gore's big toe. But, not the famous 19th century environmentalist, it's an even more famous Al Gore; a human having copied the earlier environmentalist's appearance during the time period the surgeons called the Decade of the Golden Knife, when humans did everything to look like their heroes. Humans daily interact with other intelligent species in space. But, so far, none of the aliens have the capability to travel in space on their own, and they're reluctant to use the humans' space travelling technology after one- or rather two - minor incidents. Earth authorities continuously work to persuade aliens that space travelling is perfectly safe - which it probably is - had it not been for the humans themselves. The increasingly lovesick starship, the Special Relativity Error, its Captain and his highly likely to get involved crew, soon find themselves in a race between humans to intercept the toe. During the mission the starship gains new crewmembers, new friends meet and bond, someone loses a limb, a formerly semi-criminal robot starts a riot, the toe's secret is revealed, and a new, everlasting source of power might be presented. All as space is used in a very humanly fashion.Even if it's an epic space action-adventure with a decent ending, it might only be part one of three, since any self-respecting space opera is always a trilogy. Main Character GallerySRE - the Special Relativity Error - the increasingly lovesick spaceship with the Artificial Intelligence simply called Sir.BB - Captain Billy Bob Art of the Special Relativity Error- A sexy man, at least according to Lara, good-hearted and a sucker for polar bears, and occasionally (all the time) struggling to keep some sort of order on his crew and ship. Dr. Needlejoy - The old, wise, good doctor aboard the SRE. Loves to hold detailed lessons about all subjects at any time when an opportunity presents itself (or even when it doesn't).The chef - Happy and food-loving, prepares all kinds of thinkable and unthinkable delicacies, regardless of suffering the minor setback of losing an arm along the way.Jane and John Dove - The ship's pilots and engaged and opinionated lovebirds - Possibly in risk of being caught having sex in BB's captain's chair on the bridge.Yang - the ship's (gay?) engineer who fixes everything technical, and who has an artistic talent which is sometimes expressed in somewhat inappropriate ways.Professor Lifelive - the great-great-great grandchild of the Al Gore copy. A smart, loveable, slightly eccentric, elderly man, who is in the possession of his great-great-great grandfather's super secure floppy disk, which contains the much needed passwords needed to access the information contained in the space travelling toe.Mer-Houd: The oblong spheroid shaped flying robot drone with semi criminal tendencies. A black market Advertisement Robot that is rebooted and implemented with a new A.I. by Yang, after having been brought back to the ship from the Galileo Galilee Station as a present to a, possibly, lonely Dr. Needlejoy.Lara - Lara Baywatch Craft - The sexy and smart TV-anchorwoman going out into to the field in search of the story behind Mr. Gore's space traveling toe.Tiny - Tiny Tamagotchi - Lara's deluxe refrigerator-sized, always hungry, happy, quirky and loveable cameraman.Admiral Awesomest - The well-groomed, well-dressed and well-muscled Captain of the great Earth starship the Appearance is Everything. Admiral Fitfast - The well-groomed, well-dressed and well-muscled Captain of the second great Earth starship the Resistance is Futile.
