The regeneration of a lost soul is traumatic not something born of man, but of God. Many religious people speak of a man's responsibility to God as a work of man. Loving God is not work, but rather joy for His children. Every born-again Christian must come to understand that we come to Jesus by the Word of God: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). It is God's words, not man's, that save by His grace through faith. As hard as Paul tried to resist Jesus, he came as do all those chosen by God.
