Diane Hammond was born in Queens, NY.

Diane's first 2 books, Going to Bend (Doubleday 2004) and Homesick Creek (Doubleday 2005), are set in the Pacific Northwest. Hannah's Dream (HarperCollins 2008) is set in the Puget Sound area. Her latest book, Seeing Stars (HarperCollins 2010), is set in Hollywood.
