This poetry is about sights, objects, sounds and events that attracted the poet's eye, ear and mind. Sometimes it was about things that shouldn't have been said, but to him were fun and amusing. Some subjects were frightful or ugly, yet other subjects were things and ideas he wanted to think about and explore more completely. Some may have seemed common at first but could be developed, enriched and made to sing with pondering and wonder in poetry. Included are words, phrases and ideas from things he saw around him from the streets, roads and spaces of man and nature. The poems move from haiku poetry through fourteen lines or longer. They may be lyrical, harsh, soft, angry, musical or playful. These are stories and poetic statements from a rich and varied life.
