More DescriptionThis book is all about addition. These problems are suggested for students in the first grade. All the problems are presented in a visual manner, using circuit interconnections. They are suitable for all students, in addition to the visual learner. The problems are based on number placements on cells that form a network of nodes. Such problems should help develop visual skills.Visual skills are highly desired in the fields of science and engineering. The books in the Visual Mathematics Series are geared to help build the foundations for a career in science, engineering, and mathematics. Similar circuits are normally used in computer chips for parallel addition, subtraction, comparisons, and other logic operations using an appropriate operator at each node. The problems in this book use the addition operator, and are based on concepts of associativity, commutativity, and distributivity. Circuits of each type are repeated few times with different input values to familiarize with multiples for numbers upto 20.The addition problems have a simple format. A set of pre-determined input values are provided for each problem. The intermediate values generated based on addition of the inputs are not shown. The final result is provided in the problem itself. A few solved examples are provided in the beginning for illustration purposes. Solutions are provided for all problems at the end of the book. Also available directly from the publisher, an Amazon company, at: CreateSpace eStore: https://www.createspace.com/4339870
