More DescriptionA collection of short stories about spirits, ghosts, death, dying and other pleasing thoughts to go to sleep by. In these stories you will find out more about the place I grew up in, the Shenandoah Valley of Northern Virginia. It is rich in history and folklore and provides a vivid backdrop for the tales herein. As a child some of my respect for and love of ghost, goblin and witchcraft stories was shaped by the very place itself. Most residents know that stories abound of unfortunate spirits who roam the darkness of rural roads or frequent the many cemeteries that dot the entire valley. There are stories set in other locations as well. You will find yourself transported to a farmyard in Indiana, a dimly lit bar in New York City, a plantation in Louisiana and other locales. I realize many do not believe in spirits or ghosts, and I feel sorry for them. As for me, I believe, and I think after you read my stories, you will come to believe as well.
