This is the seminar handout of our fully independent seminar about details of the new Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) of the TCP/IP protocol architecture (content of the first day, part 1 of 2 parts).

The seminar covers technical aspects of important changes from the "traditional" Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) to the "new" Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), new addresses and their numbers, important protocol functions and their influence to higher layer protocols. Migration concepts and procedures will bei explained.
