This book is the result of more than 25 years of study and researching with gasoline engines and also is the final product after numerous adaptations and conversions in Airplanes, Locomotives , Cars and Boats. After all this, I can conclude that all the internal combustion engines are basically the same. Some of the most notorious differences are in the cooling and fuel systems.A good example of this conclusion is the famous Chevy 350, produced by General Motors since 1955 and used today in, trucks, industrial generators, agricultural equipment, air boats , power boats (Inboard and Outboard) and hundreds of different applications.The engine diagnosis and troubleshooting is more complicated every day due to the electronic innovations; the marine technicians require more training in electronics and software administration. For this reason I have tried to explain in a simple way the diagnosis of the most common faults that occur in this type of engines
