As a child growing up in one of the poorest communities in Kenya, I had a dream. A dream that would only come to pass through salvation. I wanted to become a model, TV presenter, somebody in the public eye. I had every opportunity to do so only if I had money. More DescriptionAs a child growing up in one of the poorest communities in Kenya, I had a dream. A dream that would only come to pass through salvation. I wanted to become a model, TV presenter, somebody in the public eye. I had every opportunity to do so only if I had money. I was beautiful, tall and athletic, I attracted a lot of people in big opportunity areas but nothing could ever push me forward, it was only attraction and that is as far as it went. I knew something was wrong with either me or the doors of opportunity, we were not able to establish a relationship. This made me at times frustrated and times wondering whether there was something I didn't know. I had no one to give me answers except talk to myself and try to work it out myself. I CAME SO CLOSE TO ACHIEVING A LOT OF THINGS IN MY LIFE, SO, SO CLOSE, BUT SOMETHING WOULD JUST HAPPEN THAT DIDN'T HAVE A BASE OR FOUNDATION IF YOU LIKE. NEVERTHELESS, I NEVER AT ONE TIME LET MY STRUGGLES DRUG ME BEHIND, I KEPT GOING AND GOING BELIEVING THAT FAILURE WAS NOT PART OF ME AND THAT IT WAS ONLY TEMPORARY. I HAD SUCH STRONG FAITH GROWING UP THAT I MOVED MOUNTAINS UNKNOWINGLY; ONE THING I DIDN'T KNOW WAS THAT JESUS WAS MY REAR GUIDE, A SILENT LISTENER TO EVERY CONVERSATION AND THE UNSEEN GUEST AT EVERY MEAL. HE IS MY HERO AND MY FRIEND, I COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE.
