More DescriptionThe title of this Collection of Short stories suggests that the reader should "pan for gold" as he/she reads. The author hopes he has inserted a hint of gold dust, even a nugget, here and there as a reward to the reader. Each story stands on its own. Every plot is different, but a single idea is at the base of two of these concoctions. See if you can identify it or them. A few tales deal with the peculiarities that tend to hover around young people. The lack of experience of these protagonists, inevitable in youngsters of any species, leads to interesting developments. The author does not intend to approve or disapprove of these examples of their behavior, some of which are loosely based on the early life of the author. He cannot help thinking how wonderful it must be to be so free of 'training' or 'life experiences' that one's inhibitions (not yet fully formed) do not stand in the way of a curious mind and the thoughts that inhabit it.
