More DescriptionBeautiful Jenna Jones is irrevocably in love with the man of her dreams, Dr. Bradley Knight. Jenna adores his every feature -- from his gorgeous dark eyes, black hair, and olive skin to his impressive 6' 3" muscular body -- but most importantly, she admires his love for God. Their shared faith is the foundation on which they have built what she considers to be a solid relationship. For six years, she has patiently waited for him to finish medical school and become established in his field, after which they plan to marry and start a family. On a special night, when she expects Brad to propose to her, the unthinkable happens. Another woman, Dr. Tara Langford, a fellow physician from Brad's practice, makes a play for him, and Brad doesn't rebuff her flirtatious behavior, which both hurts and degrades Jenna. Though she later attempts to discuss her feelings with him, he becomes angry, refuses to talk to her, and storms out of her apartment, leaving her crushed and bewildered. When Jenna goes to his office unexpectedly the next day to attempt to get their relationship back on track, she overhears him tell Tara that he is having second thoughts about his relationship with her. Peaking into his office through the partially open doorway, she is devastated when Brad doesn't stop Tara from throwing herself into his arms and kissing him; unable to move, Jenna watches in disbelief as the man she loves holds and kisses another woman. Praying to the Father to guide her actions, she flees Brad's office without confronting him. Feeling her Lord's gentle urging, she packs her bags, mails Brad a letter, and returns to New Hope, her beloved coastal hometown. After returning home, Jenna seeks comfort in the arms of her family and church friends. At church, she becomes reacquainted with the handsome, charismatic Nicholas Thompson on whom she had once had a major crush. Prior to meeting Brad, Nick had been the only man for whom she had ever had intense feelings. Discovering that she and Nick, who is also a teacher, have much in common, she finds herself enjoying his gentle, strong presence in her life. As she struggles to move on with her life after Brad's duplicity, Nick becomes her trusted confidant, the one who wipes her tears and lifts her spirit. Jenna realizes that Nick's unwavering support is a special blessing from the Lord. As their friendship develops and grows, Jenna hears nothing from Brad. No one can believe that Brad, who had been totally committed to her for six years, would allow her to just walk out of his life without a fight or explanation, but he has apparently done just that. Though Jenna feels as if her heart is broken, daily walks along the beach, fervent prayer time with the Father, and a budding relationship with Nick help her cope with the loss of the man she had completely believed to be the one the Lord had chosen for her. When she is on the verge of accepting that she must have been wrong about him, Brad comes back into her life with a repentant heart. Leaning heavily upon her Heavenly Father for guidance and strength, Jenna must now make a decision that will affect the rest of her life. Will she accept Brad's apology and become his wife, or will she pursue a relationship with Nick, the man who has come to mean so much?
