More DescriptionThe Amulet of the Nephilim tells the mythical tale of two heroes, Vietnam veteran and garage owner Frederick Lee and his son, well-known mystery writer Alexander Lee, who take on a giant--the U.S. government--that is intent on keeping secrets from the American populace.
Unable to sleep late one cold winter night, Fred Lee decided to take a drive out under the star-filled sky and was startled to see an unknown flying object burn its way into our atmosphere and crash land in the low hills just ahead of him. While hurrying to the crash site, he wondered why he was out on the highway at this very moment in time. Was he meant to save someone? His desire to help those who are less fortunate than himself changed his and his son's life forever. Wanting a record of the crash and its aftermath, Fred wrote down his experiences in a small blue notebook that he made sure Alex got to read, thus passing the hero's torch to his son.
Alex Lee, fueled by the same idealism as his father, can't say no to his father's request that he use his writing skills to expose an apparent on-going cover up by the FBI and U.S. military authorities.
There's not much FBI Special Agent in Charge Frank Silvers won't do to get Fred's notebook and squash any chance of Fred's tale getting out. His job and personal pride are at stake. Alex, as clever as his father, may be just the man to give Frank Silvers a run for his money.
