More Description"The Curtains Going up" is a true story regarding brother on brother sexual child abuse and is an attempt by Author, Thomas Rogers, to articulate in writing his thoughts and actions as a surviving victim. Thomas Rogers was miraculously able to survive incomprehensible sexual, psychological and physical abuse during his teenage years at the hands of his older brother, Craig Rogers. Thomas has authored this book in an effort to finally expose his past and to provide the reader and possible additional silent victims, insight regarding how sexual abuse forms the mind and thought processes of the victim(s) whom suffered sexual abuse as a child. The Author has studied and read many books relating to this subject looking for answers but has been unsuccessful in discovering a situation quite as unique has his own experience. With the support of his wife Emily, Thomas is finally able to discuss his abuse and felt compelled to write his story. The writings contained in this book have potential to change the opinions of many family friends whom have known and loved the Author's family for many years. The Author does not do this with malice but instead with the intended purpose of exposing his past in an effort to continue healing his wounds and be recognized and validated as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Thomas Rogers's older brother Craig Rogers sexually molested and abused his younger brother Thomas for five years as a teenager from the ages of "eleven to sixteen". It has taken Thomas 35 years to become comfortable writing about his abuse and how it has shaped his personality and life. The Author continues to deal with the demons of his past and his persistent thoughts of suicide.
