More DescriptionTHE JOSEPH STORY is a dramatization by Rolf McEwen based upon the life of Joseph as written in the Book of Genesis. In his youth, Joseph had peculiar dreams. When he told his brothers that he dreamt they would all bow down to him, they took offense. In their anger they sold him as a slave. He served in the house of Potiphar in Egypt. Under Joseph's management, Potiphar grew prosperous. Potiphar's wife made overtures to him, but he refused her advances. In anger, she accused him of rape, and as a result he was sent to prison for 12 years. He interpreted dreams in prison for Pharaoh's former baker and his wine taster. When Pharaoh sought someone to interpret a dream that was troubling him, Joseph was recommended and was sent for. His impressive interpretation of Pharaoh's dream resulted in Joseph being appointed second in power in Egypt. During a famine in the land, Joseph's brothers traveled to Egypt to purchase food. They eventually were brought before him. Joseph's wisdom, courage, compassion, and goodness are truly inspiring. He kept his integrity through his trials. The life of Joseph provides inspiration to all.
