Captain Jack Coogan has grown up knowing that someday he might be called upon to help his grandfather's old war friend. It was a pact made long before he was even born. Nevertheless, he was honor bound to accept the call if it came. It did.It was to be a simple trip into the Austrian Alps in search of some of Himmler's last efforts of the war, in the Alpenfestung or Redoubt. The simplicity evaporates quickly when they encounter a hornet's nest of neo-Nazis, and their new cohorts, Yemeni jihadist. All were vying to take over the search in the mountains, using brutal methods to do so.However, they had never counted on meeting someone like Jack, whose day job was as a combat soldier in the Army's top-secret counter- terrorist unit "ULTRA". Jack specialized in the infiltration and destruction of small military groups. As the new enemy found out, he was damned good at it. The battle blazes from London into the English countryside, then out through central Europe, and finalizes in the Austrian mountains.
