Author Biography

Crabbe, Kay (Author)

Kay Crabbe is a children's author based in Australia. Her work includes fiction and nonfiction. Early in her career she wrote articles for newspapers and magazines. She later changed her focus to educational materials for children which included comprehensive texts and school magazine articles. Her fiction includes Patch Parker: Son of a Convict, and The Pearl-Shell Diver: a story of adventure from the Torres Strait which won the 2016 Speech Pathology Australia book award, Indigenous children category. Her nonfiction work includes Introduced Species in Australia, which was awarded a Whitley Book Commendation by The Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales.
