Yanagihara, Hanya (Author)

Hanya Yanagihara is a novelist on Hawaiian ancestory. Her first novel, The People in the Trees, based on the real-life case of the virologist Daniel Carleton Gajdusek, was widely praised as one of the best novels of 2013. In 2015 her second novel, A Little Life, made the New Zealand Best Seller List. She is also a deputy editor at the New York Times Style Magazine. She made the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2015 shortlist. She also won the Kirkus Prize for fiction with her title 'A Little Life'.
