More DescriptionThis book is dedicated to one move, false transfers. Not only is it dedicated to one type of move, it is dedicated to false transfers using Schneider technology. Schneider technology is very much different from the technology used through out the magic community. The Schneider technology is somewhat complex and is presented in the book The Theory and Practice of Magic Deception. Although this basic technology is presented in that book, The Theory and Practice of False Transfers goes into much more detail about false transfers and also presents extensive practice drills intended to enable the student to master the moves. In addition, the presentation of each move is followed by a small routine in which the false transfers are utilized. This book is aimed at individuals that wish to attain a high skill level manipulating coins and small balls. It is suitable for people very new to magic. It is also suitable for very experienced magicians that wish to learn a different technology. The newbie will probably have an easier time of it for they do not need to undo a different technology and may be willing to accept the harsh regime this book requires of the student. With that comment, be warned that this book requires a great deal of tedious boring work. There is a reason for this and a section of the book explains why this must be.This technology was developed about thirty years ago. The method of false transfers and the method of teaching it were honed in a class Al Schneider ran in Minneapolis, MN. For about six years, Al ran a class one night a week. During that time, more than a hundred students were exposed to the methods in this book. Most were beginners. In a two or three week period, the beginners were making a coin disappear better than many seasoned magic performers. The cost however is high. Repetition and boredom are the master teachers. If you wish to pursue this course of action, you must be prepared to sit and repeat very simple actions while enduring vast boredom. There is a reward, however. The reward is the ability to make a coin disappear with the ease of brushing a piece of lint off your shoulder.Note that this material was presented in online PDF files over the last many years. This work is a merger of two of those products and a third section on ball vanishes. To view all of Al's books on amazon, use the search keywords, Al, Schneider, magic.
