So my colleague and I ravaged the internet for a solid study; but we came up empty. We found some great resources that explicitly use the CCC as they present various aspects of the Catholic faith, but nothing to help me (or you) to do the same. We did come across some solid material by Cardinals Schonborn and Ratzinger, which was very helpful in the creation of this study, but still, it wasn't the kind of "how to" we were looking for. The best we found, by far, was The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Craft of Catechesis, by Barbara Morgan and Petroc Willey. In fact, we owe more to that book than to all the rest of our sources combined. I feel that all the sessions worked together well, and I learned so much from each talk. I feel very comfortable now with the CCC -- now that I've learned the 'tools' taught in these classes." - ParishionerThrough the teachings of the 1992 Catechism of the Catholic Church, we come to understand that, by the grace of God, life is a school of prayer that ends with beatitude -- lasting peace, happiness, and human fulfillment beyond the mind's capacity to imagine. This study was designed to introduce the journey, to realize the treasure chest that is the CCC, and to embolden our own personal heartfelt response to the gift of faith. By the end of this study, participants are renewed in their faith, empowered to confidently search out answers on their own, and capable of navigating the pages of the CCC the way it was designed to be used.
