God named places, people and even changed people's names throughout the Bible giving the meaning and purpose for their names. I believe that when we call someone by name we are reinforcing the character qualities given to the person and that names have significant impact in forming our identity. This is why many schools, businesses, churches and parents carefully chose names and even have committees deliberate over the choice.
