Meanwhile, his old hometown is undergoing a major downtown facelift. As Meg Patterson and Brad Sampson begin to rebuild their friendship, she feels God leading her to become a part of the growing business community. With encouragement from her friend, Pam Starnes, and the expertise of her father, Stephen, she hopes to turn one of the old downtown buildings into a successful, upscale coffee shop. Shortly after their work begins, however, so do threats against the Patterson family. Suddenly, Sheriff Sonny Thomas and his deputies have more unsolved cases and suspects than a town this size deserves.
