Moyo, Dambisa (Author)
Dambisa Moyo received an undergraduate degree in chemistry and an MBA in finance from American University, an MPA from Harvard University, and a PhD in economics from Oxford University. She was a consultant for the World Bank and an investment banker specializing in emerging markets at Goldman Sachs. She has written several books including Dead Aid: Why Aid Is Not Working and How There Is a Better Way for Africa, How the West Was Lost: Fifty Years of Economic Folly--and the Stark Choices Ahead, and Winner Take All: China's Race for Resources and What It Means for the World. Her work regularly appears in economic and finance-related publications including the Financial Times, the Economist, and the Wall Street Journal. In 2009, she was named by Time as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World and was named to the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders Forum.
