More DescriptionEd Blaze was born in Tanzania, Africa. As a kid, he made his friends laugh to pass the time in school, not realizing that comedy was in fact in life's calling. He came to America in 1998 and worked odd jobs that resulted in some funny experiences. Later, he turned those experiences into hilarious stand-up comedy that is a unique mix of humor and autobiographical stories as he navigated life as an African in America. He is now a national touring comedian & producer. His comedic influences are Eddie Murphy, Ricky Gervais, Richard Pryor, Dave Allen, Dave Chappelle, Louis C.K. , Chris Rock, Lewis Black, and George Carlin. His book talks about his childhood in Africa, his life as a stand-up comedian, and his drive to reach out and help aspiring comics through his start-up company Metro Comedy Entertainment. The book also discusses his passion for championing local charities wherever he tours and his strong belief that comedy is a healing force for people of all races and backgrounds.
