The Boston Book Review Literary Awards in Poetry, Fiction, and Non-Fiction are given annually for books published in the preceeding calandar year. Recent judges have included Robert Pinsky, Jorie Graham, Orlando Patterson, Anne Beattie and Henry Louis Gates, Jr; winners have included Joyce Carol Oates, Mark Strand, Frank McCourt and Jamaica Kincaid. Nominations and final choices are made entirely by the judges; applications, submissions or recommendations to the editors at the Boston Book Review are not accepted. No submissions are necessary.
