Send review copies! Since we are swamped with publisher catalogues, we are often unable to carefully review and request books from all of them. Please keep sending catalogues but don't be discouraged if we haven't requested anything from yours, we probably haven't had time. Please send any book you think would be appropriate and interesting for The Boston Book Review, whether we request it or not. We do look at all books that come in. However, at this time, we are not reviewing any e-books.

Publishers should send the finished book as soon as possible (no galleys), to our offices two to three months ahead of publication. If one of our editors or reviewers wishes to write on a book that has already been published, we will contact the publisher directly.

The editors examine each book that arrives in the office to determine its compatibility with the BBR and to identify an appropriate reviewer.

If a book is reviewed, we will inform the publisher and send two tear sheets on publication. Although inquiries and suggestions from publishers, agents, and authors are acceptable such inquiries in no way influence book selection or speed up the review process. All press releases should be sent via snail mail; please donšt send any faxes. Thank you.
