Author Biography

Gabrielle Giffords is a Congresswoman serving Arizona's Eighth Congressional District. She represented her hometown, Tucson, in the Arizona Legislature from 2000-2005.

Giffords holds a Master's Degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University and a B.A. from Scripps College where she was awarded a William Fulbright Scholarship. She is married to Navy Captain Mark Kelly, a Navy Pilot and NASA astronaut.

Congresswoman Giffords was seriously wounded on January 8, 2011. She co-authored, with her husband Mark Kelly, Gabby A Story of Courage.
