This unique dictionary, in both print and CD-ROM formats, provides accurate and up-todate legal definitions of every product regulated in the EU. This work is the result of a systematic compilation of the definitions of products as published in the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC) since its inception in 1952, but only the most recent version of each definition has been included. In addition to products, the Dictionary defines related aspects such as testing, control, marketing, and transport - definitions the availability of which may prove useful because of their frequent occurrence in context. The Dictionary 's double format (print and CD-ROM) allows users to search for information in a number of different ways: by name of product (or related aspects), by descriptive keywords, or by a coded references relating to legal instruments as the source of the definition (including consecutive versions). The work is current as of 30 June 1999. To keep pace with legislative developments, and to integrate new and revised definitions issued by the Court of Justice of the European Communities, the CD-ROM will be regularly updated.
