The purpose of Dartmouth's Institute for Advanced Graduate Studies is to strengthen the interaction between the theoretical and practical communities by acting both as a forum and as a working environment to stimulate new applications of parallel computation. The 1992 DAGS Symposium addressed "Issues and Obstacles in the Practical Implementation of Parallel Algorithms and the Use of Parallel Machines," with the focus on problems that arise in parallel scientific computing. This CD-ROM captures the lectures and papers from that meeting.
