Webb, Charles (Author)
Charles Webb was an author, born on June 9, 1939 in San Francisco, California. He grew up in Pasadena, California. In 1961, he graduated from Williams College. His first novel was The Graduate, published in 1963. It was his most famous novel. In 1967, it was made into a successful movie. Home School (2007), was his sequel to The Graduate. He had two other books that were made into a film, The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker (1970) and New Cardiff (2002). His other novels include Love Roger (1969), Orphans and Other Children (1963), The Abolitionist of Clark Gable Place (1976), Elsinor (1977), and Booze (1979). Charles Webb died at the age of 81 on June 16, 2020, in England.
