Jo Claire Monahey is badly injured in a car crash that was caused by her husband, Eric. Both her husband and their fifteen-year-old son, Jordy, died in the crash. During her recovery at her parents' cattle farm, Jo Claire sees the ghosts of both her grandmother and her son in her dreams. They are trying to warn her of some danger, but what? Jo Claire seeks counseling from her pastor, Dr. Daniel Baxter. He has a daughter, Sarah, who is the same age Jordy was. Mysterious deaths of pets and livestock begin to occur on the farm.
