Throughout the institute's history, US Army and Thai doctors jointly pursued research and therapy for illnesses that threatened both US troops and Thai citizens, such as cholera, malaria, opisthorchiasis, dengue, Japanese B encephalitis, hepatitis, enteric infections, and HIV/AIDS, as documented in these photographs.
