More DescriptionThe 640-911 DCICN exam covers these topics:Describe how a network worksConfigure, verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and interswitch communicationsImplement an IP addressing scheme and IP Services to meet network requirements in a medium-size Enterprise branch office networkConfigure, verify, and troubleshoot basic router operation and routing on Cisco devicesMost of these topics include material similar to those of the R&S track, except that the NX-OS are also covered since NX-OS is being referred to as the "data center OS". To succeed in this CCNA Datacenter exam, you need to read as many reference books as possible. There is no single book that can cover everything! The book is NOT intended to guide you through every single official topic. You should therefore use this book together with other reference books for the best possible preparation outcome. This book has information on both the regular IOS and the NX-OS. The two OSes look similar, with some minor differences in the command syntaxes and usage. For example, NX-OS does not have the login command for the switch users. Also it does not really distinguish between the standard ACL and the extended ACL. After all, the exam topics of this Datacenter track do not really have anything special (relative to the R&S track) other than implementing the technical features under the Nexus switches and the NX-OS.
