First, his coach catches pneumonia and Kerry has to go to the finals without him. Then en route to Raleigh, a snowstorm develops that delays his bus so much that he loses his hotel reservations. The hotel is full to capacity with other snow-stranded occupants, and Kerry is desperate. He needs a place to stay and a good night's rest to be able to fight for his future. Handsome, privileged 28-year-old Clayton Reilly is a hotel guest... and Kerry's unlikely knight in shining armor. Usually wary of strangers, Clayton nevertheless overhears Kerry's plight and is compelled to help this appealing, desperate young man. They share Clayton's two-bed room. As the night progresses, the two men feel each other out. Kerry is a wrestler with a girlfriend and does not seem gay, and neither does Clayton, who can have his pick of the women.
