The mission of this fifth edition of Disease Prevention and Treatment is to break down the barriers of ignorance that result in unnecessary suffering and death. While intriguing discoveries are now published in prestigious medical journals on a regular basis, little of this information is utilized to actually save human lives. It's as if a brick wall separates newly discovered scientific solutions from those in critical need of this knowledge. The goal of Disease Prevention and Treatment is to tear down the walls of ignorance and apathy that have become the underlying reasons why human beings needlessly succumb to preventable diseases today.
