After the breaking up of the family when mother left in search of a more fuller and rewarding life, leaving behind eight children including one with mental challenges, once that barn is open it is hard to contain or keep in check those that remain in, the father tried to keep things in order but he having to labor to nourish the family it was hard to keep things in order especially the elder members of the family, as circumstances change allowing him to move further away from the home leaving the fourth in command, there is where the story became interested, that lad was frosted to make decisions about the welfare and survival of himself and siblings is just festinating, the things encounter on the way was just breath taking, the children life in college, the mentally challenge sister on her good days and bad, the story of her pregnancy, his decision for the nice or nephew when it come, the decision for his sister to prevent it from happening again, and scores of other decisions were made shielding his sibling from predators from far and near guiding and slowly closing that barn gate keeping those that should be in, in and keeping out they that should be out.
