More DescriptionINTRODUCTION I started writing these poems as part of a summer writing program with the National Writing Project at Rider University New Jersey. Since then I have used some of them as teaching tools in and out of educational facilities. The purpose of these poems is to provoke thinking along different issues of life, pertaining to love, care, respect, choice, wisdom, and appreciation of nature and especially the creator of Heaven and Earth. I encourage the readers to first read the poems for pleasure and then read them for meaning. The reflection sections of the poems are mainly to emphasis some of the points that were made in the poems and also as conversation starters for a myriad of issues that we face everyday. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I am deeply grateful to the Almighty God for enabling me to complete this work, His consistence love and provision is immeasurable. I thank my husband for lending his ears to me as I read these poems to him uncountable times. I'm grateful to Ore Badejo , Oyin Bankole and Dara Bankole for their comments and suggestions . I appreciate Sayomi Bankole for his enduring love. I thank the leadership team of the National Writing Project at Rider University, the Director, Dr. Carol Brown and Co-Directors: Susan Kadish, Ruth Palmer, Judy Cartwright and Laurell Parris. Linda Biondi and Carol Hotchkiss I thank you for your constant support. The NWP at Rider University New Jersey was the oasis that I needed to quench my thirst as I pursue my journey as a writer. The support and encouragements from the group was refreshing. More than anything else I'm grateful that some of my students came along with me on the writers journey, creating pilgrims of writers. It is our hope that others will see reading and writing very refreshing and consequently join in the quest to become better readers and writers.
