More DescriptionMicheal Hopkins a Vietnam Veteran is a writer of Poetry, Humorous Fiction, and Nonfiction books. Writing is a passion which must be constantly pursued. Michael sees the humor in the posturing and strutting of humanity taking nothing in life very seriously. Poetry is an outlet although Michael thinks it's the only way to shut his muse up. His poetry tells a tale of an Ancient Warrior. Several books of Humorous Fiction and Nonfiction are in the works. The Ancient Warrior Poems are Mythical Medieval Romantic poetry. They tell the story of one warrior who over his lifetimes has followed a quest given by the gods as punishment yet also reward to find Loves Lost Tear. He can only know complete peace and rest when Loves Lost Tear is found. In his quest, he knows love but briefly he knows pain, fear, and loss intimately. His one true love is seen both as comfort and curse as a source of joy, and pain with reason to defy the gods and carry his battle to the very gates of hell and eternity. The Ancient Warrior fears nothing but failure or rejection by his lady."Emerald Tears" is a composite of many lives in many times of the Ancient Warrior stories. Over the years, it has become hard to discern where my life experiences leave off and the Ancient Warrior's begin. I hope you will enjoy this book and learn from my Ancient Warrior, his code of honor, and sense of duty that seems in such short supply nowadays.
