I had cancer and survived. While enduring this disease I kept a journal to be able to "vent" my feelings and try to stop thinking just about the cancer problems. I had cancer and survived. While enduring this disease I kept a journal to be able to "vent" my feelings and try to stop thinking just about the cancer problems. I also had pics taken during my radiation. My book will help other patients to relate to what they are going through and know they are not unique. Also for the families and caregivers it will give them a better understanding of what the patient is going through to give them better care. The medical personnel in the oncology field will understand more clearly that the patient is a human being with human feelings and problems, and that needs to be addressed along with the medical aspects of their care. I hope my book will help others as it helped me during my crisis. When you have cancer and go through the side effects etc you realize how traumatic it really is and you have more sympathy now for others.
