More DescriptionJuran's Online Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a self-paced program covering the Lean and DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) methodologies and associated tools needed to complete a Green Belt project. Green Belt training serves two purposes. First, it trains team members to function as part of an effective Lean Six Sigma team; second, it begins to prepare them to lead projects and eventually become Black Belts. The typical performance infrastructure, including belt levels and other roles, is explained in the Performance Excellence Basics section of this chapter. This workshop is designed for anyone selected by their organization to work as a Green Belt on a Lean Six Sigma project, as well as Champions who would like to have a deeper knowledge of the tools and techniques. The Green Belt Online Certification program contains four parts: Reading, e-Learning Modules, Assessment, and Project Work. This offering is designed for those seeking Juran Lean Six Sigma Certification. It requires that the candidates work on an organization-sanctioned project while going through the training. Guidance through your project is provided through web conferencing sessions with a Juran Master Black Belt (eCoach). The ideal Green Belt Online Certification candidate: 1. Is receptive to using quantitative methods2. Has at least high-school math capability3. Is knowledgeable about a specific process or processes that are likely to be a focus of future Black Belt projects4. Has proven analytical and technical skills5. Has a task orientation; has a track record of completing assignments6. Is able to balance project work and other routine duties/workload; manages time and stress effectively7.
