The book is set in the era post 9/11, and is an exposition of the most important and crucial issues surrounding national security and the threat faced by pilots/aviators and passengers by the increased potential of aviation terrorism. Kate Hamilton is a brilliant and incisive lawyer, who is chosen to assist the most successful Advocate Depute Mr Peter Hammond, a man known to dominate the courts with his formidable intelligence and precision analysis of legal points of law.
