More DescriptionChildhood exposure to the rhyme and meter of poets like Poe and Longfellow gave me a lifelong love for poetry. I'm a bivocational pastor, ministering to seniors, and also an RN, helping mothers birth and breastfeed babies. These callings are special to me, but the one I've felt most deeply, all my life, is this creative call to write poetry. This is my fourth book of poetry, but the first published digitally. These poems were written between 2000-2012. The latter half of those years brought me into a heightened awareness of the awesome gift and sacred goodness in our human embodiment. This theme marks many poems from that period. As always, for me composing poetry has been like preaching prophetic burdens. As with sermons, I learn more in putting them together than the pulpit ever conveys. So, in sending forth this poetic collection of insights and epiphanies, I can only hope the Holy Spirit uses them to inspire and enlighten my readers as He has blessed their author through writing them.
